The Digital Solution
Shooting digitally provides a total solution to your photographic needs at a fixed price. Images are supplied on CD ready to drop into documents saving both time and money. Real-time previews of images can be seen, whether in the studio or on location at the time of the shoot. Images can be emailed at no extra cost if time is of the essence.
Image Quality
The Nikon D2X produces up to a 69.9 Megabyte 16-bit file capable of reproduction of a double page spread from the raw files at 300dpi without interpolation. Images can be interpolated using interpolation software to produce files 2 to 3 times this size with no visible loss of quality.
Ease of Use
Images are presented on the CD as thumbnails opening out into large size previews to help you choose your images. They can also be seen as a slide-show.The chosen images are then accessed in their high resolution format from the "Hi Res" folder. The CDs are totally cross-platform and we keep an archive of jobs so that further copies can be obtained if necessary (for a small fee). Inexpensive prints on true "photographic" paper are available.
Colour Management
All images are colour corrected and tagged with ICC profiles (usually the industry-standard Adobe 1998 RGB profile).
Monitors are profiled using the Monaco Optix calibrator ensures that we only supply you with totally colour-accurate images. Clients should also ensure the integrity of their monitor display...otherwise they cannot be sure that the image they see on their screen accurately represent the colours encoded in the image. This is vital: otherwise adjustments could be made on the basis of false perceptions
